Styling Manolo Blahnik boots

Everyone knows the easy way to style boots.  Throw them on with any pair of skinny jeans, right?  So for this post, I thought I’d take a different approach and give tips on how to style boots with a dress or skirt instead.

But first, I must say that these Manolo boots are hands down the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn.  The chunky heel is the perfect height that allows for walking around all day long without any aches at the end of the day!  I love a gorgeous suede, and this elephant grey color is stunning.  The slouched look and where it hits on the leg also makes it so versatile and easy to wear with anything.  Love these boots! Now… how to style them.

If you’re unsure on how to approach a particular outfit, always keep it simple.  Don’t force the boot if the boot isn’t quite working for the look you’re going after.  If it “works,” try styling a monochromatic look or complimentary colors.  For instance, I paired these taupe suede boots with a neutral palette of soft grey and cream.  The colors agree which creates a soft, pretty palette from head to toe.

Next, keep the boots on the shorter side.  Any booties from the ankle to mid calf look best with short dresses and skirts.  This creates a balance and harmony between each item that you’re wearing.

Lastly, know the look you’re going for and own it.  My dress is an easy, cotton, casual dress so a chunky heel and slouchy boot style meshes perfectly with this relaxed look.  Lastly, I threw on a Vince long cardi and cream scarf for a little warmth on this chilly fall day!
