Goyard tote & Gianvito Rossi suede booties

Certain pieces are worth investing in, and a great handbag is top on the list.  My Goyard tote is one of those timeless pieces that I carry on a daily basis, even when traveling.  Next on the list of things to splurge on is shoes.  Even if you have on the most simple outfit, like jeans and a tee, a gorgeous handbag and shoes elevate the entire look.

When deciding what pieces to spend the big bucks on, it’s important to make smart decisions.  Unless you’re a seasoned collector, think simple, neutral pieces.  It’s best to start off with pieces that are easy to wear with almost anything, which makes any post-purchase guilt dissipate!

My Gianvito Rossi suede booties are one of my favorite recent purchases.  Don’t be confused by the suede texture and open toe as this creates relevance all year round.  These are so easy to style with any look, and can easily be worn for a night out with friends or to a cocktail party!  I’ve linked a similar pair here which are a grey suede – also very neutral and perfect to pair with just about anything!

The beauty of these neutral pieces is the versatility.  While it’s easy to style an all black look, or jeans and a pop of color, there’s something very beautiful and classic about keeping it all neutral.  I’ve layered a J.Crew cotton-stretch white blouse under a cozy cream Carven sweater and topped it off with my favorite taupe Vince leather blazer.  My stone Jbrand stretchy jeans made for the perfect execution of this neutral palette!  I’m all about comfort, so all of these pieces have a stretch and soft feel for a super comfy look!
